Of Stars & Mud Retreat

A 7-Day Women’s Retreat of Embodied Astrology, Herbal Alchemy & Sacred Earth Connection

NOVEMBER 11-17, 2025

You are made of stars & mud.

This retreat is a call to the women who feel the ancient pulse of the earth and the cosmic rhythm in their bones. A space to remember what the body knows: that we are not separate from the land, the sky, or each other.

Of Stars & Mud is a 7-day immersive experience weaving together astrology, herbalism, somatic practice, earthen creativity, and a sacred Wachuma ceremony. Each day opens a portal through the four elements — fire, earth, air, and water — guiding us back to our wild, intuitive, embodied selves.

This is a journey of reconnection, remembrance, and reclamation — of our instincts, our eros, and our place in the greater ecosystem of life.

Wachuma, or San Pedro, is a sacred Andean cactus used for over 3,000 years in traditional medicine, revered as a heart-centered “Grandfather Medicine.” Known for its nurturing, grounding energy, it helps restore balance between the mind and heart, dissolve emotional blockages, and release self-limiting beliefs. Rather than thinking through the experience, one is invited to feel deeply, let go of past traumas, and reconnect with the Earth, self, and others in a renewed and meaningful way.

Meet Your Guides

  • Andrea Cerrilla

Andrea is the visionary behind Casa Suyana, a sanctuary of holistic well-being, and Awamayu, a project deeply rooted in ancestral traditions and connection to the land—both nestled in Peru’s Sacred Valley of the Incas. Since first arriving in the Andes in 2017, she has immersed herself in folk herbalism, permaculture, sikuri practice, sacred plant medicines, and the spiritual teachings of the Andean and Shipibo-Konibo traditions. With over five years of experience holding space for healing, Andrea weaves earth-based therapies with a devotion to sustainability and living in harmony with nature. Her work inspires authenticity, love, and service, offering spaces for profound transformation and reconnection with self and the Earth.

  • Candace Garland

Candace is a medicine woman, artist, and trauma-informed space holder. For the past six years, Candace has been a facilitator at Nimea Kaya, an Ayahuasca retreat center in Pucallpa, Peru, supporting people on their healing journeys and working closely with the Shipibo-Konibo. She is committed to the path of healing, having undergone extensive training and Master Plant dietas. She has a deep reverence for plant medicine and the indigenous tribes who have been the guardians of these sacred rituals. Ayahuasca opened many doors for her, leading her to serve plant and animal medicines with the intention of helping guide others to come back to their truth and sovereignty.

This journey is for you if you want to:

  • Deepen your connection to yourself — grounded in your body, attuned to your intuition, and in harmony with your rhythms.

  • Learn practical tools for everyday ritual — from herbal remedies to somatic practices you can weave into daily life.

  • Build a living relationship with astrology — understanding not just your chart, but how to dance with the elements and planetary cycles.

  • Reignite your creativity — freeing your voice, your hands, your art, and your sense of play.

  • Root into a renewed sense of belonging — to the earth, the cosmos, and a circle of women who uplift and witness you.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is a list of logistical frequently asked questions. If we still haven’t answered your question, feel free to contact us.

  • To get to us, you will have to take an international flight to Lima (Jorge Chávez International Airport, LIM), and then a national flight to Cusco (Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, CUZ), where we will arrange land transportation to the Sacred Valley. We will get in touch regarding the national flight and pick-up from the Cusco airport once your application has been approved. Flights costs are not included in the program.

  • The weather in the Sacred Valley can vary drastically in just one day, and can be unpredictable, with temperatures ranging from a high of 71° F (22° C) to a low of 45° F (7° C). November comes right before the start of rainy season. Because of the high altitude of the valley, 71° can often feel much warmer when the sun is out. Our motto is to always be prepared with your sunscreen and your raincoat because you never know which one you’re going to need in one day.

  • We will be based at 9,500 ft (3,000 meters) above sea level. Most people doesn’t encounter many issues acclimating to the altitude, but we will have herb allies available that can help with any discomforts should they arise. If you have an underlying medical condition that leaves you at risk of complications while being in high altitudes, please contact us. We recommend arriving at least a couple of days before the retreat to get acclimated to the altitude.

  • The weather tends to be unpredictable in the Sacred Valley, so layers will be your best friend here. It is common to be wearing socks and a beanie in the morning, and shorts and a t-shirt in the afternoon. We will be providing a more detailed packing list after you’ve submitted your application.

  • That will depend on where you are flying from. People from most countries in the Americas and Western Europe do not need a tourist visa to enter Peru, and will be granted a 90-day tourist stamp upon arrival at the Lima airport. It is essential to present a valid passport with a minimum validity of six months from the date of entry into the country when entering Peru. To check if you need a visa, review this document. For more information, visit the peru.travel website.

  • The official currency of Peru is the Sol (S/). US dollars are accepted in many places, but you will need to use Soles in smaller communities, specifically for local transportation, at local restaurants, and artisan markets. Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks or exchange offices (we recommend you do this in at the Lima airport or in the city of Cusco). You can find ATMs in the Sacred Valley where you can take cash out in US dollars or Soles, but they are not always reliable. If possible, please plan to arrive with enough cash for your stay. We recommend bringing bills in good condition, without tears or marks, as most businesses will not accept bills with a lot of wear and tear.

  • We intentionally keep our group sizes small for the intimacy it creates. This group will be capped at 6 women.

  • A non-refundable deposit of $555 USD due upon acceptance into the program is required to reserve your space, and the remaining balance in USD will be due by October 11th, 2025. This may be paid using Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.

If canceling before October 11th, deposits are non-refundable. If canceling after October 11th, and you've paid the full amount, the remaining balance will only be refundable if we are able to fill your space. We recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance for any cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances.

If you decide to depart early, there will be no refunds or partial refunds given.
